Winter Test Session for European 600 Superstock Team

Talented British riders Tom Grant and Robbie Stewart will campaign the Scuderia Triumph- SC 675 in the 2008 European Superstock 600 series and the two riders got their first taste of the new bike at Mugello and Magione circuits in testing on the 9 and 10 February.
The teams first outing took place at Mugello on Saturday 9 February, but an unfortunate technical problem limited the amount of laps the two riders were able to complete. Despite the set back, Grant set some impressive times in just a few laps round the undulating and technically demanding Tuscany circuit.
The team were able to resolve the technical problems and headed to the twisty Magione circuit the following day, with both riders completing in excess of 40 laps. At the end of the second day of testing, Grant ended up with a fastest lap of 1m 14s in spite of large numbers of amateur track day riders on circuit and bitterly cold weather conditions.
Robbie Stewart finished two seconds behind his team-mate, but remained up beat thanks to ever improving lap times, even though it was his debut ride on a 4-stroke machine and his first time at the track.
The next test for the team will take place in March when the World Supersport squad return from the opening two rounds of the championship in Qatar and Australia. The most likely venue for the
