Another Triple for Triumph

Triumph were the big winners in the 2009 MCN Awards, announced during Thursday's press day at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, held at the Birmingham NEC.
Triumph scooped the prestigious award as ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ while the much decorated Street Triple R and Thunderbird won yet more awards, taking the ‘Best Naked’ and ‘Best Cruiser’ classes respectively.
The awards top an outstanding year of accolades for Triumph’s products that has seen the Thunderbird declared ‘Cruiser of the Year’ at MCN’s US counterpart, Cycle World, and the Street Triple R winning a plethora of silverware including bike of the year in leading magazines in the UK, US and Australia.
Wednesday’s MCN will feature a full report on Triumph's triple success, while the NEC Show runs until Sunday December 6.
