MAP Embassy Triumph win the championship at Silverstone!

After qualifying on pole position for the penultimate chapter at Silverstone, Glen Richards quickly settled into a good rhythm just behind his team-mate Paul Young and championship rival Hudson Kennaugh (Yamaha).
Knowing that he only needed to finish in 12th place or better to lift the title, Glen concentrated on completing the race instead of pushing for an outright win, a decision that paid off as he ran a perfect race finishing fourth, to maintain his 100% points scoring record and extending his championship lead to an unbeatable 34 points over South African Kennaugh. With top five finishes at every round, including three wins in 11 races, Glen Richards and the Triumph Daytona 675 have been the essence of speed and reliability on their way to the title.
Double joy for the Map Embassy Triumph team followed in the form of Triumph's test rider Paul Young who finished with a season’s best second place having led the opening laps, placing him in ninth place in the series!!
