As part of our annual recruitment, we currently employ Year in Industry students in our Design Department as well as in certain manufacturing areas of the company. All industrial placements are based at one of two Triumph factories in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

During 2009/2010, we have 10 students working for us in various departments throughout the Company including Design, Accessories Design, Assembly and other manufacturing areas and Accounts.

A placement year at Triumph typically commences during July and runs until August of the following year.

A competitive salary is paid during the period of employment and students are given 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).

Assistance is offered to students when they initially join us by way of paid hotel accommodation for an initial period of 4 weeks to allow time to settle in and find alternative accommodation. Accommodation is usually sourced through a number of students and graduates sharing local rented accommodation.

Outside of work there is plenty to get involved with, including sporting activities such as football and cycling as well as organised events which have included wakeboarding, karting, trackdays, Team nights out and the Three Peaks Challenge. For nights out there is Hinckley itself or alternatively the cities of Leicester and Birmingham are both within easy reach.

APPLICATION PROCESS

You are asked to submit a current CV together with a letter of application to our Human Resources Department by 20th November, 2009.

The CVs will be considered by the Department managers during January and successful candidates will e asked to attend a series of assessments to be held during January/February. This involves completing 3 aptitude tests together with a personality questionnaire. As part of the process the applicants will be taken on a factory tour and there will be the opportunity to ask questions.

Applicants who successfully pass the aptitude tests will be invited to attend a group exercise. This session entails problem solving as part of a group. Candidates will be observed during the process and their team working abilities assessed accordingly.

The final stage will involve attending a formal interview with Department team leaders/managers, following which a selection will be made. All assessments and interviews are held at the factory in Hinckley.

Candidates who progress to the interview stage can expect to receive a decision by the end of April 2010.
