Thunderbirds are go!

Our brand new cruiser, the 2014 Thunderbird LT, will land in dealerships across the UK from March 17. Sleek, stylish and sophisticated, the state-of-the-art touring model has been developed specifically for the classic cruiser market, pairing world-class engineering with exceptional handling and jaw-dropping good looks.

Boasting the world’s largest parallel twin motorcycle engine, the LT makes long-distance touring comfortable and effortless but despite its size, the LT delivers light, neutral steering, while incomparable style and exceptional detail raises the cruising bar. Generous chrome highlights adorn the windshield and yokes, while a single front headlight and auxiliary spot lamps tip their cap to iconic art deco design. The look is finished with wire-spoked wheels, a one-off tank badge, white piping around the seat and pristine hand-painted tank decoration.

The LT also features a truly luxurious seat, with a clever dual density construction and lumbar support for exceptional comfort, while maintaining a low seat height to accommodate all sizes of rider.  An eye-catching pair of removable leather saddlebags and the world’s first white-walled radial tyres also come as standard.

The high quality rider and pillion foot-boards are made from chrome-plated, high-pressure die-cast aluminium, featuring replaceable skid plates and an adjustable heel/toe gear lever for the rider. Handlebars are slightly raised, sweeping back across the tank for a classic custom cruiser feel, which delivers the bar grips at a sensible, comfortable angle. Wiring is routed through the bars to give the rider’s eye-view a clean, unfussy look.

Further features of the LT are a coded key immobiliser, self-cancelling indicators, a massive 22 litre fuel tank with off-centre filler cap, and a well-appointed, tank-mounted dash console including classic analogue-style speedometer.

Available from authorised Triumph dealers across the UK (Find your local dealer here), the Thunderbird LT is available in Caspian Blue / Crystal White or Lava Red / Phantom Black, with prices starting at £13,999.

Adding to the affordability, riders can take advantage of TriStar, Triumph’s PCP product for a great monthly payment plan.

Riders will also be able to try the new LT at Triumph Live, a celebration of the brand, taking place on 12 July at the Gaydon Heritage Motor Centre. The full-day festival will feature live bands; stunt riding shows; factory tours; road and off-road demo rides plus a whole host of other attractions.
