Οι εσωτερικοί έλεγχοι ποιότητας της Triumph διέγνωσαν πιθανό πρόβλημα με μια ποσότητα βιδών που χρησιμοποιούνται για τη στήριξη της μπροστινής δαγκάνας στις βάσεις της σε ένα μικρό αριθμό μοτοσικλετώνThruxton (με καρμπιρατέρ καθώς και ψεκαστών). Τα μοντέλα που έχουν επηρεαστεί είναι του 2008 και 2009 με αριθμούς πλαισίων (VIN) απ 349720 έως 377967.

Η Triumph αποκάλυψε σήμερα τα νέα της μοντέλα για το 2009 σε ένα ανυπόμονο κοινό συνεργατών και δημοσιογράφων στο Παγκόσμιο Συνέδριο Συνεργατών στο Birmingham της Μ. Βρετανίας, όπως επίσης ανακοίνωσε επίσημα το εναγωνίως αναμενόμενο δικύλινδρο εν σειρά cruiser, το οποίο θα είναι γνωστό ως Thunderbird.

It is confirmed that Embassy Racing Moto have been appointed the official Triumph factory supported team for the British Supersport Championship for 2008 and the World Supersport teams continue to do well in their tests.
