FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions about registering for the Riders Association of Triumph.

1. I do not have a user name and password.  How do I log on?

As part of the registration you will need to create a new username and a user password. When you have successfully completed your registration these will be emailed to you in a confirmation email, which will also include your new R.A.T. membership number.

 

2. I've registered online a while ago.  I still do not have my Torque magazine.  When will I get one?

The Torque magazine is mailed quarterly:  March, June, September, and December.  You must register your membership at least 2 weeks prior to the month the magazine ships to be included in the mailing list.  If you register your membership online anytime in December, or later, you will receive the March issue of Torque.

 

3. I already have a current membership in 2005.  Do I need register online as a new user?

Yes.  This allows you to inform us quicker and easier should any of your details change, and will ensure that we are able to always deliver your issue of Torque direct to your door throughout the 2006 Calendar year.

 

4. I can not locate my 17-digit Hinckley-Triumph VIN Number.

Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the unique number that is stamped on your bike frame. It is a 17-digit number and can be found underneath the seat on a stamped VIN plate, and on the registration documents that should have accompanied the bike. 

If you are still unable to identify your VIN number, I would suggest that you visit your nearest authorized Triumph dealer who will be able to locate and advise you on the exact VIN number.

 

5. The website says my Hinckley-Triumph model and VIN number do not match.  What do I do now?

Please send an email with the following information to RatAmerica@TriumphMotorcycles.com:

  • Your full 17 Digit VIN number
  • The model of your Triumph
  • Confirmation of what web browser you are using
  • A brief description of your issue

 

6. Do R.A.T. members still receive the patch and pin sets?

It is NO LONGER POSSIBLE to receive 2006 badges. This was the last year these sets were made, and we are now officially out of stock.

 

7. How would I register an associate membership?

R.A.T is now free of charge to all Hinckley Triumph owners.  Therefore, associate memberships have been discontinued. 

 

8. Will R.A.T. members receive a membership card?

The membership cards will not be mailed out with the free memberships any longer.  In the past, membership cards have secured a reduced event fee for the National R.A.T. Raids.  R.A.T. raids are now the same price for all attendees.

 

9.  I've just registered online and received my confirmation, but it says my membership expires January, 2006.  How often are we required to renew our membership?

The confirmation that you receive uses the European style date stamp. They communicate their dates as dd/mm/yyyy. Therefore, 12/01/2006 is actually December 01, 2006.  You will be required to renew your membership free of charge each December starting December 2006.

 

10.  I am using a Macintosh Computer, and I can't seem to get through the application process.  Why?

This is a functionality that we are looking into.   Currently, our online application is not compatible with MAC systems. To process your membership, please complete the online application on a PC.
