Triumph Scoops Best Naked Bike at the 2008 MCN Awards

The event, held at the Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, saw Triumph Motorcyles scoop 2 great awards.
The prestigious awards evening celebrated its 12th year with no less than 18 highly sought after categories awarded to the industry’s best, as chosen by a panel of industry experts. Hosted by comedian, actor and lifelong motorcycling fanatic Alan Davies, the star studded ceremony also saw the likes of British Superbike Champion Shane Byrne, British superbike stars Leon Haslam and Cal Crutchlow, TVs Charley Boorman, plus Donington Park 125GP winner Scott Redding turn out to see who had been crowned the best in the business.

Triumph's first award was in the 'Best Naked Bike' category which was given to the Street Triple. Described as the most desirable naked middleweight motorcycle in the market, the Street Triple is a rebel with plenty of cause – lean, light and agile! Add the style and attitude of the iconic Speed Triple to the performance and agility of the award winning Daytona 675 and you have a truly impressive mid-weight streetfighter and a stunning looking contender that punches well above its weight on the road or track. The award was collected by Mark Heywood, General Manager of Triumph UK.

With over 120,000 readers every week the MCN awards are the most influential in the UK and this is certainly a fitting tribute to a suberb bike. If you haven't tried the Street Triple yet, its not too late - call you nearest dealer to arrange a test ride and see for yourself why this fantastic bike was No.1 in its group.

The second award of the evening for Triumph was the 2008 British Supersports trophy , to complete a great year for the Map Embassy Triumph squad after Glen Richards lifted the title last month.
